Worlds of Fun date

                                           

Amber and I's first REAL date was when we went to Worlds of Fun in KC. We'd been texting alot back and forth. Amber asked me to send her some pics that were crazy and it made her smile and warm and fuzzy on the inside.(to know the rest...you have to buy the book!) We decided to plan a fun day at the amusement park. June 2nd is the day we picked. It was a great day to go lots of sunshine and it was really warm. It was in the middle of the week so the park wasn't too over crowded.  As we drove down to the park we had a lot of laughs along the way. Once we got there we paid the $10 parking fee(OUCH!) and walked in to our first amusement park together. I had been there before several times in years past, but I'm not sure if Amber had been or not. (She can correct this :-) ) We first rode on the Zulu. It's a big wheel that turns over on it's side and you set in a car. So the ground comes up fast and then back up to the sky...I think it feels like you are Superman lifting off the ground again and again. That ride set the whole tone for the day.

 

I remember Amber laughing and having butterflies in her stomach. She was so sexy with her hair hitting my face and her laughing and yelling every time the ground came up! After that we walked around some more and we got on the Boomerrang. This ride takes up you up one way and then gives you the whole ride in reverse. This is a fun one! Plus the guy running the ride recognized who was on my shirt!! (3 Stooges).  We then went to get something to eat. We split a hot dog and a Mt Dew (Amber's fav). We talked awhile and let our food digest.

We then switched gears and went to the other side of the park which is Oceans of Fun. After changing into our bathing suits,(Amber looking HOT in hot pink!) we oiled each other up and were on our way into the water. This is the part I think Amber liked the best because she is such a water person. We rode the water slides a few times and went in the surf/wave river which was REALLY choppy and hard to swim in as there were TONS of people in it.

 

 

I also have to mention that I did play alittle in the kid area because of the big bucket of water that fills up every 4mins and then SPLASHES down on everything. Amber sat out for that one while I had fun there. I tried to LURE her under the big bucket a few times to give her a kiss with all the water pouring down on us, but she wouldn't have any part of it. (I'm going to get her this summer to do it now that we're married!) :-P Starting to get water logged, we decided to move back to the other side of the park.

By this time we were ready to dry off and our favorite ride of the day came into play. The Patriot!! It is such a fun fun ride! They take your photos on this ride and we rode it twice. It was so funny looking at our expressions after the ride was over with. I think both times my eyes were closed and mouth open! hahaha With this ride, I think we really connected with each other, because after it, it was the first time Amber and I held hands. It just happened....nothing forced and it felt very natural. Afterwards, we started going into some of the gift shops they had down there. Fun trinkets, clothing, and more....ohhh and lots of hats!! Funny hats too! I remember trying them on with her and just being silly. We desided to get 2 for ourselves, but the more nicer ones. Mine a straw-like fedora and hers a straw-like big brimmed sun hat. She looked great in hers....mine...I'm not too sure yet. LOL

 

Having all fun in the sun we stayed in KC for the night. ;-) This was our first real kickoff to dating and spending the weekends together. To be contintined...

How we met...(continued)

I had to sign up for the site Christianmingle.com to even start to talk with Amber. Once I was signed up I started to email her. She was online at the same time so we used there instant messenger on the site to start talking. At first we both were trying to figure out how to work it but once we got it down we were chatting away. That's what I found out about Amber right from that moment was she was very easy to talk to, she was full of conversation.  After a few hours of chatting we each logged out and went our separate ways.

What followed in the next few weeks was some great convos and really getting to know each other. From the get go I knew she loved God and that was a big plus for me. As we kept emailing and chatting with each other we started to flirt with each other. She would always say things that would make me smile/laugh.(She still does to this day!) After about 5-6 weeks chatting on the site, I suggest to her that we meet in person. Not so much of a date, but just to see each other face to face. She said there was a nice Mexican restraunt up where she lived. I agreed and the date was set for May 2nd.

May 2nd came around and I found myself in the company of a very bright and beautiful young woman. I went to go pick her up at her house in a rental car I had used the day before for my event(Harold Lloyd Birthday Bash.) We drove to the Mexican restraunt which was about 20min away. The whole time we were talking about this and that, our likes and dislikes. When we got to the place we were very hungry. I don't remember all of what we spoke about that night, but I do remember Amber always looking me in the eyes and what beautiful eyes she had.

We were very stuffed afterwards and she drove me to a friend of hers farm to show me the huge freezers! They were loaded with meat! She gave some to me to take home for later. That was so very sweet of her. I dropped her back off at her place, got a hug goodnight and off I went! After we had met in person we started talking on the phone more and texting then using the ChristianMingle site.

So that was our first "date". Our first REAL date didn't come until June 3rd when we went to Worlds of Fun. :-) More about that in the next post....

How we met... It all started on christanmingle.com

I was at home in Jamesport mo . I was lonely and board and though where is there a Christan site ? So I found this one and tried it. I singed up and it was three days before i was approved for the site. I was looking around  and I saw Cohen Phillips. 


A man that looked so handsome to me he was sitting, smiling and holding a red reel of film in his hand. He had a nice jacket and tie on and jeans. LOL But he looked so happy and handsome I just had to write him....

 
Well every night I would check and see if he had  wrote me and he didn't I thought oh no he's not going to write me he probably taken or not interested in me ...

I still had hope so I wrote him and or winked to show him i was interested in getting to know him ...well I would  check every night for almost a week then he finally wrote me back. I was shocked ...
